These Terms govern your access to and use of all products, features, and services provided by Point Identity, including but not limited to the Point Identity platform, identity verification tools, decentralized identity solutions, and related content and features ('Point Identity Services'). By accessing or using these services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, do not use Point Identity Services.

Definitions

  • PIDX: The decentralized identity platform and services provided by Point Identity, including all associated software, applications, and features.
  • User: Any individual or entity accessing or using the services provided by Point Identity.
  • Services: Includes all features, functionalities, applications, and offerings available through the Point Identity platform.
  • DID: Decentralized Identifier, a unique identifier enabling secure and self-sovereign identity management.
  • PIDX Token: Utility tokens issued by Point Identity for transactions and interactions within the ecosystem.
  • Personal Data: Any information relating to an identified or identifiable person, as defined under applicable data protection laws.

Scope of the Terms

When using Point Identity Services, you may provide personal information such as your name, phone number, and biometric data for identity verification. This data is processed in compliance with our Privacy Policy, emphasizing data security and privacy protection.

Eligibility

To use Point Identity Services, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Not reside in a jurisdiction where access to Point Identity Services is restricted.
  • Not appear on any sanctions lists from the EU, U.S. Department of Treasury, or other relevant authorities.

If you do not meet these criteria, you are prohibited from accessing the services.

Availability

Point Identity Services are accessible globally, though availability may vary by location. It is your responsibility to ensure compliance with local laws. Certain features may be restricted due to geographic regulations.

The PIDX Chain provides a decentralized blockchain infrastructure for secure and self-sovereign identity management, ensuring interoperability and transparency.

PIDX SSI

PIDX SSI (Self-Sovereign Identity) enables users to create, manage, and utilize decentralized identities for secure and privacy-preserving interactions.

PIDX Data Vault

PIDX Data Vault offers secure storage for sensitive personal and organizational data, utilizing advanced encryption for confidentiality and integrity.

PIDX Onboarding KYX

PIDX Onboarding & KYX provides seamless Know Your Customer (KYC) and Know Your Business (KYB) solutions for compliance and identity verification.

PIDX IDaas

PIDX Identity as a Service (IDaaS) delivers scalable and secure identity management solutions for businesses and organizations.

PIDX Wallet App

The PIDX Wallet App enables users to manage their digital identities, authenticate securely, and interact with the Point Identity ecosystem.

Fees, Purchases, and Taxes

Transaction and Network Fees

You agree to pay any fees associated with Point Identity Services. Blockchain-related network fees are separate and not collected by Point Identity.

Taxes

You are responsible for determining and paying applicable taxes for transactions involving Point Identity Services.

User Responsibilities

Users are responsible for:

  • Securing account credentials and wallet information.
  • Using the services ethically and legally.
  • Notifying Point Identity of any security breaches.

Data and Security

Point Identity employs advanced security measures to protect your data and transactions. However, blockchain and decentralized technologies involve inherent risks, which you acknowledge by using the services.

Intellectual Property

All intellectual property related to Point Identity Services belongs to Point Identity or its licensors. Unauthorized use is prohibited.

Dispute Resolution

Disputes must first be addressed through Point Identity's support channels. If unresolved, disputes may proceed to mediation or arbitration, as applicable.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of France, where Point Identity is registered. Jurisdiction depends on applicable mandatory provisions.

Amendments

Point Identity reserves the right to amend these Terms. Changes take effect upon publication. Users are encouraged to review them periodically.

Feedback

By submitting feedback, you grant Point Identity the perpetual right to use it for improvements and promotions without obligation to compensate or credit you. Intellectual property rights to submitted feedback automatically transfer to Point Identity.
